What's a kid to do?
Parent
Talk
In a continuing effort to make SAFE more than just
bouncing a ball, we have joined forces with Dr. Michele Boretti (Skano
Elementary School Psychologist) and Shenendehowa Schools
to offer parents resources to help raising their
children. She has been a good friend and very supportive
of SAFE. Every three months we will look at a different
and possibly difficult area of parenting. The
first subject is Study Habits. We asked for your input, and was pleased
with all your responses:
Recreational, Social, and Educational
Opportunities
for Children with Special Needs

- minimize distractions (no TV)
- repetition
- individual attention
- organization and preplanning
- and most of all persistence (don't give up)
Please feel free to check out the article by Peg Dawson

along your thoughts, ideas and suggestions on the
positive parenting.
